Top 10 Board Games for the ESL Classroom:

"Board games can be a useful and ready asset for the ESL classroom. Most require little to no preparation, and with a little patience, your English learners add a new resource to their language studies. On top of all that, board games are a fun way to learn new vocabulary and make a change from the normal routine."

  1. I LOVE board games! Sometimes they give too much time for teammates to be inactive, but overall they are a dynamic way of engaging the class. If I am in a class with slackers I prefer to do games where each student is actively doing something like this folding activity: http://eslcarissa.blogspot.com/2012/06/write-fold-pass-draw-fold-pass-repeat.html
